With amazing spas throughout the state, you can visit just about any Arizona destination and find unique spa treatments that fit your needs. This list of seven fabulous spas in Arizona is a great place to start planning your warm and rejuvenating vacation.
Eforia Spa at Hilton Sedona
Beautiful and spiritual comes to mind when I hear someone mention Sedona. Many people head to Sedona to relax and connect with nature. The Eforia Spa at the Hilton Sedona is a perfect spa retreat to do just that. Their signature 90 minute Full Circle Massage and it was AHHHHH-mazing and totally fits the relax and connect with nature bill. This massage is inspired by the teachings of the Four Directions and is meant to touch the four aspects of your being (Mind, Body, Heart, and Spirit). I think it’s been my favorite massage so far, I’m not sure if it was the extra 30 minutes (I almost always book 60 minutes) or the unique design of the treatment.
Canyon Ranch in Tucson
Canyon Ranch is a must on my bucket list! As a native Tucsonan, how could it not be? It’s one of the most highly rated spas in the whole country. My friend Becca had a chance to experience Canyon Ranch and claims it’s the BEST massage she’s ever had!

Last year I had a lovely girls weekend at the Camelback Inn Resort with Becca. It was my first experience with a body wrap, my preferred spa treatment is a massage but the wrap was pretty awesome. Their Desert Honey Nectar wrap is relaxing like a massage but also super hydrating which my parched desert skin really needed! Afterward, we chatted while we had pedicures done. Mixing friends and relaxation is an excellent approach to wellness.
Well & Being Spa at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
I’ve stayed at the a Fairmont Scottsdale Princess a few times and love the resort. On a visit without the kids, I splurged on a Thai Massage at the Well & Being Spa. The massage itself was unique for me since I usually go for a typical massage but I enjoyed the Thai version. What I loved the most though was the spa facility. The Well & Being Spa has the most welcoming and comfortable spa facility I’ve ever been to. My regret was I didn’t schedule a full day to enjoy the amenities. I guess it’s time to plan another trip! And you don’t have to take my word for it, a fellow Traveling Mom also loved the Well & Being Spa.
Tocasierra Spa at Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort
I haven’t had a chance to experience the Tocasierra Spa yet but I did have a fun mom retreat at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak last year. They have casitas on site, perfect for a girls weekend with a large group of friends. The Tocasierra Signature Hot Oil Massage sounds amazing and will be a priority on my next stay at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak.
Agave at The Westin Kierland Resort
I love staying at The Westin Kierland with my family but I think it’s time to check it out as a girl’s retreat instead. The Westin just introduced new spa treatments featuring the resort’s new hand-selected Casa Herradura Double Barrel Reposado Tequila. The new Salted Lime & Tequila Body Glow is a custom-blended aromatherapy and desert salt mixture that includes tequila. They are also offering a The Tequila Lime Refresh Facial, a Tequila Lime Revive Massage and Salted Lime & Tequila manicure and pedicure. I love regionally specialized experiences.
Spa Avania at The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort
The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale is another resort my family really enjoys visiting. How can you resist a sandy beach pool?! Somehow my dad managed to sneak in a massage the last time we were there and proclaimed it top-notch! It’s no wonder Spa Avania was named one of the “Best Spas in the World” in 2014 by Condé Nast Traveler. Spa Avania is high on my list for a spa visit as well, I think it’d be perfect for a mother’s day weekend with my mom. What’s fair is fair!
