Catching a baseball game at Chase Field is a fun family outing in Phoenix, Arizona. The retractable roof allows guests to enjoy beautiful weather during the cooler months and keeps the air conditioning contained during the hot summer months. Plus the Arizona Diamondbacks offer a kids club, family friendly amenities and kid-focused promotions.
Ball Park Playground

The Sandlot, located on the upper concourse, offers a playground with two clubhouses, four slides and a play area for kids of all ages. Bigger kids can swing away at the batting cages and younger kids can hit a Wiffle ball and run the bases on a miniature Chase Field. Plus the Sandlot overlooks the real Chase field, so parents can still catch some baseball action. Teens will like the Peter Piper Playhouse with video games and interactive experiences.
Kids Days
Sundays are kid focused at Chase Field. Kid’s club members receive free admission on Sundays and check the schedule for kid-only giveaways on select Sundays. Kids also have the chance to run the bases after each Sunday game.

Unique Seating Sections
Looking for a unique way to watch the game? Splurge on a pool suite that can accommodate 35 people. It’s the first Major League Baseball stadium to offer a pool and spa and comes with a bar, changing rooms and a life guard. There are three all-you-can-eat sections featuring unlimited hotdogs, chips, popcorn peanuts, sodas and bottle water. It’s a great option if you have older kids that eat a lot.
More Mom Tips
Family restrooms are available in throughout the facility and you can borrow booster seats for little kids at a Guest Relations Center. Save money and bring in sandwiches, snacks and sealed bottles of water. Consider booking a tour of the ballpark and see Chase Field in a unique way, tours are not available on game days and last about 75 minutes.
Also consider other baseball stadiums to tour, around the country including Wrigley Field. I also recommend taking the kids to see a game at Wrigley Field. Or visit Phoenix for plenty of spring training action including the Diamondbacks in Scottsdale and the Cubs in Mesa.
